Why Twitter when you can Flutter… Or Shutter?

April 6, 2009 by Lisa Whelan | Uncategorized

With so many people now talking about Twitter, it’s about time someone came up with a great parody.  Enter Flutter – a 26 character “nano blogging service”.  This viral video is too good to pass up – especially on a slow news morning on the first Monday after CTIA.

My favorite quote is from the “Flutter Intern” who says she discouraged Flutter from dropping the vowels from its name (Flttr): “I only told them to keep the vowels because I plan on starting my own site once I can cash in on Flutter.  10 characters, no vowels. Electronic diodes transmitting posts directly to the brain. I plan on calling it Shutter – without the vowels (Shttr).”
