Interesting hearing about the Facebook changes to code base from the developer angle.
An article I read seem to think that allot of the changes to the base were more to combat Spamming practices by companies (such as Slide.)

It is all well and good to discuss the relative merits of apps that burn allot of time such as Graffiti, but it's apps such as Graffiti that are quite popular, despite the time/money pressures of commerce.
'Bugger' Slide and Co. I like to spend three hours drawing a picture to send to a mate. Engagement is the key.
